THE FOUNDATION
Where should your table be placed?
Where would you like to eat or work? The key factor is whether there is a sturdy piece of furniture or a wall available next to your seat that can support a table or other work surface.
Wie viel Platz hast du an der Wand?
A thin plate does not mean it is suitable for a weak wall.
For thin or not very rigid walls, we recommend using the wider standard plate. Also, consider adding reinforcement behind the furniture wall β the small Smart Plate does not replace a load-bearing base.
Mehr Abstand zur Wand.Mehr Platz zum Schwenken.
BRAUCHE ICH EINEN GAP?
Can your arm swing freely past the wall?
If the arm is too close to the wall, it will bump against it when pivoting β your Lagun will no longer be able to rotate freely. The GAP positions the entire mounting approximately. 25 mm β up against the wall. and gives the arm more freedom of movement.
Check the desired swivel range directly at the installation location: Will the arm, handle, or tabletop come into contact with a wall, bench, or cushion? If the additional space is sufficient, the GAP will help.
Is there enough space for your arms and hands? Then you donβt need a GAP.
Wie werden GAP, Platte und Bein verbunden?

Wand β GAP frame β Mounting plate β Table leg.
The GAP is an open frame in the format of your standard or smart plate. The mounting plate completely covers the open center. When installed, you will therefore see the lateral distance to the wall, not an open hole.
The leg is slid onto the dovetail guide of the mounting plate and secured with the clamping handle. It is not guided through the GAP. Standard GAP and small GAP each fit their corresponding plate.

Gut zu wissen: Bei Bodenmontage entfΓ€llt die HΓΆhenverstellung. Passende Schrauben fΓΌr deinen tragfΓ€higen Bodenaufbau besorgst du separat.
What should I pay attention to when installing it?
The mounting requires a stable and load-bearing base. Before drilling, plan the seat height, mounting height, and the available swivel range. For wall and floor mounting, the mounting must be suitable for the material and construction.
The table leg is attached to the mounting plate via a dovetail joint. Loosen the clamping handle to adjust or remove it, and tighten it again before use. With a second, separately mounted mounting plate, you can use the same frame in another location in the vehicle or boat.

What height is comfortable for you?
Sit down in the chair you will be using later and consider at what height you would like to eat or type comfortably. Your leg length alone is not enough to determine the ideal table height.
Hereβs how to check your ideal seat height before you buy.
- Sit down comfortably. Measure and mark where you want the top of your table to be, using your actual seat cushion as a reference.
- Check the mounting point. Mark the area that is free and can bear weight. The deeper it is located, the more length you will generally need.
- Think about the space available. Also, consider the arm, the under-table mounting, and the thickness of your tabletop. The leg measurement is not the table height.
Between two Unsure about the length? Send us a photo showing the desired seat height, overall height, and mounting height. If the unit is floor-mounted, the height is fixed; the additional adjustment range of the two-Griff-Beins offers no advantage there.

Bring the table closer to you.
Pull the table towards you for dining, and then swivel it out of the way afterwards. The arm and the tabletop can be rotated independently of each other β as long as your interior design allows for it.
The arm extension is not a telescopic part: a second pivoting arm is attached to the 400-mm base arm using a connecting bolt. This creates a second pivot point, allowing you to move the tabletop to other seating positions. The actual range of motion depends on the joint angles, the furniture, and the tabletop.
We recommend using the 300-mm extension. With the second 400-mm arm, the leverage increases significantly, and the load-bearing capacity decreases considerably. Therefore, use 400 mm only if you really need the additional reach, and always choose a small, lightweight table top.
Do I really need a second arm?
Imagine the path the tabletop takes from its mounting point to your seating area. If a single arm is sufficient, your setup will remain more compact. With the extension, you can guide the table around another pivot point β useful for a larger seating group or for changing seating positions.
The arm lengths do not automatically result in the same consistent distance: angles, joints, the tabletop, and the furniture itself limit your actual range of motion.

How soon do you need the space back?
With both versions, you can rotate the tabletop. Here, you can decide whether you also want to fold it down β for example, to create a clear passageway.
First, check the passage, then select the folding function.
If simply swiveling the table is sufficient for you, you donβt need the folding mechanism. If space is limited or the tabletop gets in the way when getting in, folding it down might be more convenient. Make sure to leave enough space next to the tabletop for the 90Β°-Motion.
It can be stored away when not in use. Lagun It can also be disassembled without any tools. Before the trip, you disassemble the frame according to the instructions and secure it β a folded-down plate does not provide adequate transport security.

What material would you like for your tabletop?
Your Lagun is the table base. You mount a table top onto it β only when combined do they become your table. Compare different materials and designs here, or use your own table top.
What aspects are important when choosing my own tabletop?
Donβt just consider the usable table surface, but also the space needed for pivoting, getting in, and, if necessary, folding it down. A lighter tabletop is easier to move and puts less strain on the extended arm.
Check whether the material and plate thickness can securely hold the fastening screws. Choose the screw length so that it does not protrude from the top. When it comes to plate size and load, follow the instructions for your specific combination; with a second arm, a smaller, lighter plate is particularly important.
So that you can enjoy your table for a long time.
Before using the table, secure the handles and check that they are firmly in place. Use the table for eating, reading, or working β do not use it as support when getting up. To store it, release the handles and disassemble the frame without using any tools.

What should be different about your Lagun?
Does a handle bump into the wall when youβre sitting in your favorite spot? Or is the ideal table height somewhere betweenβ¦? two Leg length? We can adjust the handles and shorten your table leg to your desired size.
Beispiele: Wann hilft eine Anpassung?
- Tight corner: When swinging, the handle on the arm collides with the wall β you would like it to be on the opposite side.
